What is life coaching?

Life coaching provides a safe, confidential and non judgmental space where you can work to identify your strengths and passions that you may have yet to fully discover. You and I will collaborate together to work through any challenges you may be experiencing. These challenges can be in your personal or professional life. As your coach, I will support and guide you toward your goals and help you achieve fulfilment in different aspects of life. I will accompany you on your journey, of self discovery, gently guiding you as you gain the self awareness needed to live the life you wish and deserve. At the end of every session you will come away with immediate, concrete steps for the week ahead, providing accountability to ensure you can move forward with your goals. Each step happens at your own pace, always working in a way that feels comfortable for you.

Why life coaching with Neuroscience?

Neuroscience is the study of how the nervous system develops. Every time we interact with others there is an energy exchange and within the interaction each person is either giving, taking or losing energy.

In recent years, the study of the brain has become central to the field of coaching and self development and for good reason. Science has proven that we have not one but ‘3 brains’ – our head, our heart and our gut.

Each brain has their own dedicated nervous system, complete with billions of neurons which gives them ability to grow, flex and react. They have the powerful abilities to recieve, process, store information and access it again when necessary.

We need to put the power of our three brains together to feel intellectually stimulated, emotionally fullfiled and find purpose.

If we live life making decisions guided by just one heart, we can become unbalanced and frustrated. What if we know, but don’t do? (Head). What if we do, without knowing? As a coach, I have worked with a wide variety of clients, these include corporate clients, people who have recently retired, young people who are starting their life journey and those who are simply unsure of their next steps in life.

My core belief is that as humans, we are resourceful and whole. We are not broken or in need of fixing. We have all the knowledge and answers inside of us. The fact is, we are all unique and possess different strengths. To live a happy and content life, we need to discover our potential and purpose.

Every client I work with needs a coaching experience tailored to them. I’m acutely aware that our unique brains operate in different ways. My coaching sessions with various clients has highlighted the potential issues (cognitive, emotional and behavioural) that clients may have and I can adapt my work as a coach to fully support each client.

I feel strongly about helping others eliminate old limiting beliefs about themselves. These can be so profound and hold us back from being successful as a parent, partner or in the workplace.

Limiting beliefs are assumptions about your reality that come from your perceptions of life experiences. They are simply rules that we have created in our heads. They are not facts. The wonderful thing is, these rules are not hard wired. They can be changed. We can take control of our brains and re-write the rules.

I can guide and support you in choosing thoughts that will be empowering and evident of who you are today.

Is life coaching right for me?

Life Coaching is different to psychotherapy or counselling in that it is present and future focused and does not spend too much time dealing with the past. Life Coaching is also not advice: rather, through the powerful coaching process, answers will come to you from deep within yourself.

Life Coaching is a great place to start if you are not sure where to start! This is because it is practical and focuses on taking the next step, whatever that may be.
